Flapper Girl
Tara went in to get Caitie up Thursday morning thinking she was still asleep. Instead she found a very excited, a fully dressed, Caitie - wearing this outfit, complete with the hat, necklace, and bracelet. She had found the hand-me-down dress-up clothes that a friend had given us (thanks Renee!) - and she was SO excited. She's now been wearing the outfit for 2 days straight.

Little Gym Show Day Spring 2011
Caitie had her show day at Little Gym today. Little Gym closes forever tomorrow, so we're a bit sad about that, but it was a good show. This was shot and edited with Tara's new iPad 2.

Pink Tails and Christmas Trees
Caitie woke up in a good mood today. She wanted "Pink Tails" so dad gave it his best shot. You can judge the quality of his work for yourself from the photo.
On the drive to school, two conversations came up. First, Caitie noticed our Christmas Tree laying at the back of the driveway. She asked, "Daddy, when are we going to take our Christmas tree back to his hill? So he can be there with his friends?" It brought a tear to her dad's eye.
Then, after I changed the subject, she said, "Daddy. Today, in the car, please don't drive so that my pink tails come out. Last time I had pink tails they fell out when we were driving to school, so this time, I don't want that to happen." A couple of notes here. First, my driving is not that bad. Really. Second, it was about 8 months ago the last time I tried the pink tails and I can't believe she still remembers those details.
When we got to school and were in the carpool line: "Daddy! My pink tails stayed in. Yay!". And as Ms. Pam got her out of the car, Caitie looked up at her and pointed. "Pink Tails!"
